Built from 1921 in Manueline style as a scaled-down homage to Lisbon’s Belém Tower, the little fort-tower on the Avenida Marginal houses shipwreck artefacts and is a favourite sunset gathering point on the waterfront. Needs local confirmation: opening hours of the tiny museum inside.
