Volcanic natural-pool beach on the east coast, home of the August music festival.

Baía das Gatas is the east coast's flagship beach, a bay of calm natural pools enclosed by volcanic rock. Since 1984 it hosts the Festival de Música da Baía das Gatas over the August full moon.
